Reportable Release Of Brine

Reportable release of brine—Spilling, leaking, emitting, discharging, escaping or disposing of one of the following:

  1. More than 5 gallons of brine within a 24-hour period on or into the ground at the well site where the total dissolved solids concentration of the brine is equal or greater than 10,000 mg/l.
  2. More than 15 gallons of brine within a 24-hour period on or into the ground at the well site where the total dissolved solids concentration of the brine is less than 10,000 mg/l.1
