Weak Signal

A concept referring to the process of scanning for discontinuities, observations or pieces of data that may provide early warnings or signs of change.

In an OMS context, weak signals can provide early indicators of potential safety, health, environmental, social or security issues, including unforeseen risks, control weaknesses or a degradation in performance.
