Person in charge

Person in charge (PIC) means the person on each MOU to whom all personnel are responsible in an emergency. This person should be designated in writing (with title) by the owner or operator of the MOU. The PIC may be the Master or OIM.

Person in charge means the master or other individual designated as such by the owner or operator under § 146.5 of this subchapter or 46 CFR 109.107.
