Gamma-Ray

High-energy, short wavelength, electromagnetic radiation emitted by a nucleus, which is penetrating and is best attenuated by dense material like lead or tungsten. NOTE The energy of gamma-rays is usually between 0,010 MeV and 10 MeV.
