Assurance

Attribute of a system that provides grounds for having confidence that the system operates such that the system security policy is enforced.

Assurance

The cumulative outcome of processes, including assessments, audits, performance reporting, benchmarking, reviews and learning. The processes provide confidence and confirmation that an OMS (or any part of an OMS) is achieving its purpose and expected performance.
